William DEBOUTO

General engineer graduated from EIGSI (La Rochelle, FRANCE), with a specialization in Civil Engineering, I began my career in the construction sector as a site supervisor assistant at BATEG (Vinci Construction) for 6 months. This allowed me to:

• Master several construction techniques and methods
• Gain autonomy by implementing concrete actions to improve site operations (using approaches inspired by Lean Management)
• Manage on-site teams
• Deepen my understanding of the different phases of a construction project
• Understand the technical intricacies of many trades

After obtaining my engineering degree in 2022, I specialized in construction project management using BIM (Building Information Modeling) methodology. I completed a 130-hour training program which allowed me to acquire:

• The essential skills for implementing BIM in construction projects
• Methods for interdisciplinary collaboration among the various project stakeholders

Thanks to this specialization and my field experience, I was able to complete several assignments over 9 months as:

• BIM Modeler (Architecture, Structure, and MEP)
• Assistant BIM Manager, responsible for model quality audits, clash detection and management, and updating models according to project progress

These missions were carried out at companies such as BIMOE (Lyon, FRANCE), BEE Engineering (Lyon, FRANCE), and Modelical (Madrid, SPAIN), involving diverse projects including the construction of factories and industrial production facilities, power plants, and the renovation of residential and commercial buildings. I have accumulated over 1300 hours of hands-on BIM experience. I also hold an official certification: Autodesk Certified Professional – Revit for Architectural Design, issued by Autodesk, publisher of the Revit software, recognized as one of the world leaders in BIM solutions for the design, modeling, and coordination of construction projects.

Always eager to improve, I recently completed a Master’s degree in Structural, Foundation, and Materials Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (Madrid, SPAIN). This program allowed me to strengthen my skills in:

• Design and structural analysis
• Mastery of technical standards and structural constraints in civil engineering works

SKILLS

As a BIM professional, I mainly work on:

• Deliverable production in compliance with the project’s BIM Execution Plan (BEP): 3D models, 2D drawings, construction phasing, material quantities, photorealistic renderings, virtual tours, and schedules.
• BIM coordination, including model auditing according to defined quality checks, and clash detection and management across disciplines.
